Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak aircrews rescued two men who were stranded while traveling from Wales, Alaska, to Little Diomede, Alaska on March 3, 2016. The two men were attempting to cross-country ski/kayak across the sea ice from Wales to Little Diomede but the ice was reportedly too thin to walk on, but too thick to continue in kayaks.
