After 4 Tours, Fallen Soldier Laid to Rest

LEBANON - A family says goodbye to their beloved soldier, Sergeant First Class Bobby Estle, while his hometown honors him for making the ultimate sacrifice.Family and friends gathered inside the Cornerstone Church of God in Lebanon for a service to remember Estle's life on Tuesday. Outside the church, hundreds of people stood to honor a man who gave his life for his country.As his body was escorted from the church to the cemetery, dozens of people lined the streets.Estle was laid to rest at Deerfield Cemetery."We honor him, we're thankful for his service, and we're thankful for the sacrifice the family made to let their son go over," said Billie Henry. 38-year-old Estle was killed July 28th in Afghanistan after his unit was attacked. That was his fourth tour for the country he loved and served so well. Veterans came to pay their respects as well."To the family, know in your heart that in all honestly this man gave his life, doing something he enjoyed doing, otherwise, he wouldn't have been there," said Bernie Root.Estle is a husband, father of three, a son and friend to so many. And, to his country, he's a hero."Anybody, man or woman who joins the military and gives their life to people they don't even know and to go over there and serve for our country, is brave," said Henry.
