"Dog Tags" Movie Trailer

Boomer is an experienced war dog at the height of his profession in Afghanistan. But when he is seriously wounded and loses his Marine handler to an IED, his war is not over. Instead, he finds himself assigned to Jimmy, a young Marine struggling with the loss of a brother and finding his own place in life. With Boomer's leadership and the friendship of a Persian-American surfer girl, Jimmy faces the harsh realities of combat and discovers love in a place you'd never expect. Set in Afghanistan in 2011, "DOG TAGS" gives the audience a combat tour with a boy and his dog, offering insights into friendship and love among Marines, their dogs, and the very reason they fight: for one another. "DOG TAGS" is an intimate observation of the modern war experience as seen through the eyes of the twenty-somethings who fight it, and the animals who protect them. This teaser provides a glimpse into a story of adventure, loss, romance, and a German Shepherd cut from the same cloth as Rin Tin Tin. The film is currently an independent project.
