You and your eligible family members may enroll in Tricare Prime or Tricare Prime Overseas if you live in an area where either is offered during the 180-day Transitional Assistance Management Program period.

If you were enrolled in Tricare Prime or Tricare Prime Overseas while you were on active duty, you must complete a new enrollment form and send it to your regional contractor, preferably before you leave active duty, to re-enroll for the TAMP period. Your enrollment date is retroactive to your separation date.

If you are eligible for TAMP, but do not reside in a Prime area, you're automatically covered under Tricare Select.

During TAMP, you and your family are covered as active duty family members and all rules for that beneficiary category apply to you, including any applicable deductibles, cost-shares, and copayments.

Check out our TAMP page for details.
